Jennifer Ziegler
LMFT, Pastoral Counselor
Jennifer Zieger is passionate about helping clients to discover real freedom and joy after trauma. Working in an integrative style (combining a family systems framework with a neuro-experiential model of care), Jennifer helps clients with issues of family estrangement, church-based trauma, spiritual abuse, stuck trauma response patterns (eg. hyper-vigilance, chronic people-pleasing, anxiety & overwhelm…), ministry burnout/compassion fatigue, issues of faith & doubt, and struggles with confidence and knowing one’s own voice. With a long family lineage of pastors, Jennifer especially enjoys helping pastor’s wives and adult pks/ mks, meeting and working with people serving in ministry all over the world.
When not with clients, Jennifer spends free time making things with yarn, walking in the woods while dreaming of the ocean, and occasionally cleaning a house that seems determined not to stay that way. She lives in the Chicago suburbs with her pastor husband and sweet dog Emmi, and loves to spend time with her three grown sons and one daughter-in-law (thus far…) whenever possible.
