Esther Youn Chung advocates for therapy to be a journey of becoming and discovering one’s self through the lens of health, wholeness and holistic spirituality. She has helped countless individuals work through a variety of presented issues such as anxiety, grief, singleness, perfectionism, childhood trauma, family-of-origin trauma, marital issues, attachment issues, sexual addiction, bicultural identity, cross-cultural experience and interpersonal conflict. She offers practical tools for mindfulness training and emotion regulation with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills and explores deeper issues through inner parts work with Internal Family Systems. Esther aims to provide individualized care for each of her clients with her warm yet bold and affirming personality. She is proud to have been born and raised as a British-Korean and is currently now based in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

  • MA in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2019; in process to complete MA in Divinities 

  • Internship and Training in Group Counseling for Single Females and Spouses with husbands with Sexual Addiction at First Light Ministries, St Louis (2018-2019)

  • 6+ years overseas ministry experience leading Summer English Missions at various rural churches in Republic of Korea with Global English Missions (GEM, UK)
