Welcome to GCN Counseling!
Life as a missionary kid can be filled with adventure, meaningful relationships, and cross-cultural richness—but also with challenges that may not always be visible. CMF International cares deeply about the well-being of every member of your family, including the unique needs of third culture kids (TCKs).

That’s why CMFI has partnered with Global Counseling Network (GCN) to provide psychological wellness assessments for youth ages 12–18. These one-time sessions are designed to give TCKs a safe, supportive space to talk with a professional counselor who understands the missionary experience.

During the session, your child will meet one-on-one with a GCN counselor who will listen, ask thoughtful questions, and offer care tailored to your child’s individual experiences.If additional support is recommended, your child will have the option to continue meeting with a GCN counselor and will collaborate with you respectfully if next steps are needed.

Steps in the Intake & Assessment Process

  1. Submit the Intake Form Below

  2. Coordinator Outreach (Within 2 Business Days)
    A GCN intake coordinator will contact you via email within 2 business days to help connect your child with a counselor.

  3. Counselor Connection & Assessment Access
    After the counselor is assigned, they will follow up with instructions on how to access and complete the assessment, as well as schedule a follow-up session.

  4. Follow-Up Session & Written Summary
    Following the session, the counselor will review the assessment results and session insights to create a written summary. This summary will then be sent directly to CMFi.

Billing Information:

The assessment package includes the assessment, one session with a counselor, and a written summary. The total cost is $250 and is due at the time of the counselor session. After payment, GCN will provide you with a superbill (or insurance receipt) that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. 

Important Notice:
GCN is an entirely online practice and all counseling sessions are conducted through video communication. While GCN counselors are experienced in supporting a wide range of mental health and relationship concerns, please note that GCN is not equipped to provide ongoing care for individuals who are actively suicidal. If this situation arises during your treatment, GCN will work with you to transition to the appropriate level of support. However, GCN is unable to begin treatment for individuals who are actively suicidal.
