Kelly has nearly 15 years experience working with couples who are struggling in their marriages, individuals wrestling with undesired singleness, and adolescents experiencing eating disorders and relational concerns. She is honored to walk along clients helping them to live-out their new self in Christ and realize greater personal and interpersonal well-being. Kelly holds a PhD in Family Therapy from St. Louis University and has researched undesired singleness from the perspective of ambiguous loss. She is certified as a Level 1 Restoration Therapist. As the Executive Director for the Boone Center for the Family at Pepperdine University, Kelly brings her expertise in two psycho-educational programs into her work with clients.

  • Kelly grew up in Orlando, FL and attended Furman University in South Carolina (BA - Nutrition; 2005).

  • MA in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO,  in 2008.

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the state of Missouri, primarily working with adolescents struggling with eating disorders, single women, and couples.

  • PhD in Family Therapy from St. Louis University in 2015. Dissertation: The Emotional Experience of Never-Married Single Women.

  • Adjunct Professor for Covenant Seminary’s MA in Counseling program.

  • Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University 2016-2017.

  • Relationship IQ Program Director, Boone Center for the Family at Pepperdine University 2017-2021.

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with the state of California, primarily working with couples and single women.

  • Restoration Therapy - Level 1 certification.

  • Executive Director, Boone Center for the Family at Pepperdine University, 2021-present. The Boone Center is a training and resource center to help the church and academic institutions live-out healthy relationships.
