Kaitlyn Ramsier

LCSW

Kaitlyn is motivated to be a counselor due to her love for other people’s journeys. She believes the journey should be as enjoyable as the destination. Journey’s are hard. Hard does not mean failure. Kaitlyn is motivated by her love for humans and connection. This culture can infringe on our connection in many ways, she wants to help others discover how to live as freely as possible. Kaitlyn hopes people can see a light in themselves, others, or the world at large that they have never experienced. Through counseling, she hopes the Lord will work through her and that He will be praised in all work.

Kaitlyn has worked with various types of clients. Mostly worked with ages older than 12. She has worked with trauma and sought out various trainings of trauma, parenting, attachment, adoption and foster care, and other grief and transitions. Kaitlyn, herself, has lived abroad and gained a great perspective into the lives of other cultures, mission work, and mission salary. Kaitlyn appreciates journeying with people through all kinds of hard places including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief, loss, transition, and disappointment.

Kaitlyn enjoys life in Florida (and misses no part of the cold in the midwest). She grew up in the midwest and went to school in Chicago. Kaitlyn has worked as an in-home therapist, supervisor and clinical director of a residential program. She has a strong history of working with families due to her experience in 2 different residential programs. She has lived in the Dominican Republic for 6 years. She first and foremost believes her identity is in her relationship with the Lord. She enjoys any family time (which includes 3 young children and her husband)
